Differences
iPhone colours, kept
An iPhone photo is recorded in a wider colour space than the web's. The conversion accounts for it: your colours do not come out dull.
Date kept, location removed
The capture date and the camera stay in the converted photo. The GPS location is removed, unless you choose to keep it.
What people ask us
Can I process several photos at once?
Yes: up to three per operation, each converted with the same settings. You get a ZIP archive in which each keeps its name. The upcoming Pro plan will process fifty at a time.
What is a HEIC file?
The format the iPhone saves its photos in by default. It is compact, but many programs, websites and computers cannot open it. JPG opens everywhere.
Are my photos sent to a server?
No. The conversion happens in your browser: your photos are not transmitted to us, and we know neither their names nor their contents.
Is the photo the right way up?
Yes. The rotation recorded by the phone is applied: the converted photo displays as it does on the iPhone.
What about a Live Photo, or a burst?
The main photo is converted. The video of a Live Photo is a separate file, which this tool does not handle.
Is there a size limit?
Each photo can have up to 50 million pixels, enough for the 48-megapixel photos of recent phones.
